Background
We are looking for an EA and Project Support Officer to join our friendly team in the University’s Executive Office. The Executive Office provides support to the University’s senior leadership team through dedicated EA, PA and office support, provision of secretarial support to committees and groups, as well as through ownership and co-ordination of University-wide initiatives and projects, preparation of speeches and briefings, and organisation of institutional events.
Role Summary
This is a busy and challenging post. The role will suit a highly motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills who relishes the opportunity to take on a range of different types of work.
The post holder will develop and maintain an understanding of an area of work of the University’s senior management team, using this knowledge to make effective decisions on their behalf. They will work without direct supervision and exercise a high level of discretion and self-motivation, working simultaneously on multiple tasks and projects whilst maintaining a clear focus on the key issues that need to be addressed. They will act as a conduit between the senior management team and other internal and external stakeholders, and their approach will be collaborative and founded on real empathy with the academic endeavour of the University.
