We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager who will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Fleming Fund Fellowship Schemes at the University of Edinburgh.
The Programme manager will have strategic oversight of the fellowship schemes. They will connect with key stakeholders in the University of Edinburgh, other fellowship host institutions, beneficiary institutions in fellowship countries to maximise the impact of the fellowship activities. They will also identify connections to existing University activities in fellowship countries and opportunities for synergy or collaboration. They will be responsible for ensuring that fellows’ workplans are developed and delivered, that the fellows’ in-country collaborative projects are facilitated and that all statutory reporting to the funder on fellowship activities and financial management is completed.
The Programme is also supported by an administrative team including two project officers, a training and communication manager, as well as the academic directors of the scheme, Till Bachmann (Institute of Regeneration and Repair), Adrian Muwonge (Roslin Institute) and co-director Stella Mazeri (Roslin Institute).
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an international One Health project on Antimicrobial Resistance with an established team of experts at the University of Edinburgh. You will work collaboratively with Fleming Fund Fellows, and the University of Edinburgh management team supporting the fellowship scheme. You will also work with academic mentors and fellowship stakeholders as required.
