About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Outreach Officer (12-month fixed-term) to join our Schools and Colleges Engagement team within the Directorate of Corporate Marketing. This role supports our Access and Participation Plan and Education Action Plan targets.
You will work with the team to develop engaging face-to-face and virtual activities, that engage core target groups, for primary, secondary, and Further Education students, both on and off campus. Most activity programmes will be progressive, and all will focus on raising attainment.
To succeed, you should have a degree or relevant professional qualification, or equivalent experience with ongoing professional development. You must be passionate about working with diverse groups, from primary age to mature students, and knowledgeable about higher education progression. Essential qualities include being an innovative, proactive, and highly organised thinker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must also be adept at building relationships and confident in organising and presenting group activities.
The role is based at either the Chelmsford, Cambridge, or Peterborough campus, with remote working options. Travel to schools, campuses and occasional work outside normal hours are expected.
