An opportunity has arisen within the ERC New News team for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher. The project New News pertains to: How new parties and media shape attention and support for political ideas.
The main responsibilities would be:
To undertake research in the framework of Professor Joost van Spanje’s ERC Consolidator Grant project “New Parties on the News”. This may include experimental and/or nonexperimental research – partly independently and partly as part of a research team.
To be responsible for setting up and conducting experimental and/or non-experimental research, ensuring that it is appropriately supervised and supported by the research team. To maintain a permanent record of experimental and/or non-experimental details, to analyse and archive data generated from research and write up the results. To contribute to the preparation and presentation of findings of research activity to colleagues and at scientific meetings. To contribute to writing, submission and revision of manuscripts to be published in appropriate peer- reviewed journals, collaborating with others as necessary. To contribute to the overall activities of the research team and the department as appropriate.
This is post based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and Heathrow Airport, and within commuting distance from Central London.
