The Department of Sociology seeks to appoint a proactive and highly motivated Undergraduate Programme Manager to be an integral part of our dynamic Professional Services (PS) staff team. The Undergraduate Programme Manager works closely with academic and Professional Services colleagues to provide a positive experience for our students. The post holder will act as the PS lead for the BSc Sociology, overseeing its administration and ensuring smooth operations.  Responsibilities include acting as the focal point of contact for student and applicant enquiries by providing comprehensive guidance and support throughout their student journey; planning and organising a diverse range of student activities and events to help foster a vibrant community; managing administrative processes from application to graduation ensuring accuracy, efficiency and innovation; and crucially overseeing the co-ordination of examinations and assessment processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated administrator to join a dynamic and supportive team in a busy academic department.

You will have previous experience of working in an educational setting, preferably in programme administration. You should have excellent communication, IT and interpersonal abilities; a responsive and flexible attitude, coupled with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage a varied workload both independently on your own initiative as well as collaboratively as part of the wider taught programmes team is essential.
