London South Bank University are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Learning Resources Advisor – (User Experience), to join the LSCS Customer Services team and be part of our UX team, offering a unique opportunity for personal growth and development.

You will be working with a dedicated Customer Services team recently awarded the Customer Service Excellence standard.

As part of the team, you will provide customer-focused library and information services to students and staff based at the University’s main library on our Southwark Campus.

You will contribute to frontline customer enquiry services (physical and online), supporting customers with a wide range of Library and student IT support and course enquiries from prospective students.

As a Learning Resources Advisor (User Experience), you will be part of the UX team, which plays a key role in enhancing the user experience within our library. You will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives to improve user engagement and satisfaction. You will also support the delivery of library services to students registered with our Disability and Dyslexia Support team and other service users. This position is perfect for someone passionate about library services, user-centred design, and educational resources


About You:

  • You will have strong customer service skills and work effectively as part of a large, high-performing team.
  • You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to work, particularly during busy periods.
  • You will have strong IT skills and be competent in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and attention to detail.
  • You will undertake physical tasks such as shelving and moving equipment.

Details About The Role:

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for up to one year (12 months). There may be an opportunity for a permanent position at the end of the fixed term. The working week will be 35 hours, Tuesday through Saturday, and will include a regular contribution to evening duties. Full details are available in the candidate pack.
