Position outline

The Translational Molecular Imaging Facility underpins advanced cancer research at the Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute. We work closely with research groups to develop innovative methods for visualising molecular pathways in cancer. Led by Dr. David Lewis, our diverse team of scientists oversees a wide range of advanced molecular imaging projects. We seek a Senior Scientific Officer to work alongside our teams, delivering preclinical PET/MRI imaging projects in our state-of-the-art facility.  A degree in Biology (or similar) is required. A PhD (or equivalent experience) is an advantage, along with experience in establishing in vivo mouse models and administering substances to laboratory animals. We vaue initiative, curiosity, enthusiasm, and a strong collaborative spirit. While a Home Office licence, knowledge of preclinical in vivo imaging technologies (such as PET, SPECT, CT, MRI), and experience with imaging software are desirable, we provide training and development opportunities.
