The opportunity
A British Art & Design School with a 150-year history, Cardiff School of Art & Design (CSAD) is housed in a state-of-the-art building on the Llandaff Campus and is home to students united by ambition and a true passion for creative enquiry. They are artists, designers, makers and thinkers in the fields of architecture, design, fashion, fine art, and a range of craft disciplines. The school is also home to FabLab, the Perceptual Experience Laboratory, Spin-out companies Fovotech and HUG™, and a number of major research and innovation initiatives that cohere around visual perception and user-centred design, linking disciplines from fine art to computer science.
Principal duties and responsibilities
You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our taught portfolio, contributing to BSc Architectural Design and Technology and other programmes within the Designed and Built Environments department, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The post holder will contribute to collaborative interdisciplinary projects in research, innovation and teaching. They will also contribute to a vibrant teaching and research culture by embedding their expertise into the curriculum, engaging with colleagues, and developing research outputs or impact relevant to their research.
Enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy, you will contribute to education delivery, including programme management as required, across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will also make a significant contribution to employability, and professional engagement with relevant internal and external organisations, at a regional, national and international level.
You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department and to meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.

Bydd gofyn i chi wneud cyfraniad sylweddol at gyflwyno ein portffolio a addysgir, gan gyfrannu at y BSc Dylunio a Thechnoleg Pensaernïol a rhaglenni eraill yn yr adran Amgylcheddau Cynllun ac Adeiledig, ar lefelau israddedig ac ôl-raddedig.
Bydd deiliad y swydd yn cyfrannu at brosiectau rhyngddisgyblaethol cydweithredol ym meysydd ymchwil, arloesi ac addysgu. Byddant hefyd yn cyfrannu at ddiwylliant addysgu ac ymchwil bywiog trwy wreiddio eu harbenigedd yn y cwricwlwm, ymgysylltu â chydweithwyr, a datblygu allbynnau ymchwil neu effaith sy'n berthnasol i'w hymchwil.
Yn frwdfrydig am addysgeg sy’n canolbwyntio ar fyfyrwyr, byddwch yn cyfrannu at y gwaith o gyflwyno addysg, gan gynnwys rheoli rhaglenni yn ôl yr angen, ar draws y casgliad o raglenni israddedig ac ôl-raddedig.
