Job Summary
The Head of Growth, Innovation, and Impact will develop and implement stakeholder and industrial engagement strategies for the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein. The postholder will contribute to the strategic development and management of all growth, impact and innovation activities in the Centre and Hub, and lead industrial engagement with the 40+ partners and other external stakeholders associated with the Centre and Hub, including but not restricted to funders, food companies, chefs, policymakers, regulators, organisations, start-ups, VC’s and incubators, government, external academic institutions, etc.

Duties and responsibilities
- You will develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy and support formal and informal communications with 40+ industrial partners and collaborators in the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein and Microbial Food Hub, with input from the project team.
- You will develop and implement the Centre’s strategic plans to coordinate efforts to grow engagement and lead generation with prospective partners of the Hub and Centre
- You will establish and execute a comprehensive plan for future growth, leveraging private and public funding opportunities to grow the Centre and Hub revenue beyond their £40M initial awards.
- You will promote partnerships and serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, including industry partners, professional associations, chefs, regulators, social scientists, investors, policymakers, and consumers.
- Your role will require a proactive approach and engagement with a wide range of collaborators across multiple functional areas of activity to define, manage and deliver the projects.
- You will develop and implement the Centre and Hub’s industrial / commercial research strategy.
Essential requirements
- Experience in facilitating links and managing relationships between different entities, for example, universities and companies
- Considerable experience in working with a wide range of multinational partners, and developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience in securing or helping others to secure research funding.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering scientific projects or comparable technical projects within a project management framework using initiative and judgment.
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ability to translate engagement perspective and technical, scientific aspects to non-practitioners/non-experts.
- Extensive experience in managing budgets in a flexible and accountable way, financial reporting and providing sound financial management advice to budget holders
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external
