About the Role
Applications are invited for a 24-month post-doctoral position to study the immunological landscape of sarcoidosis. The successful candidate will lead a project to better understand the mechanistic underpinning of the immunobiology of sarcoidosis, using the various and extensive sarcoidosis patient cohorts at Bart’s Hospital. The work will involve state of the art immunological assays, such as spectral flow cytometry, single-cell RNA-sequencing, and TCR repertoire analysis.
About You
You will be hard-working, highly motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team, and across both the University and Trust. The postholder will have a strong background in human immunology, molecular biology, tissue culture, and single-cell analytical methodologies.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
