We have an exciting opportunity for a senior and experienced OD professional to join us at a time of great transformation. You will lead on the cultural change which will underpin the University’s transformation programme (Kent2030) as well as establishing strategic workforce planning and talent management processes that will enable us to attract, retain and develop diverse talents across all parts and levels of the University.

As Head of Talent and Organisational Development, you can expect to be involved in:

  • Leading on the diagnosis of cultural barriers to the achievement of the organisation’s vision and objectives and developing practical strategies to address those issues;
  • Developing and implementing talent and succession planning strategies, policies, programmes and interventions, including the development of competency and behavioural frameworks to support the realisation of organisational values and objectives;
  • Developing and implementing a strategic approach to workforce planning and resourcing to ensure the University workforce has the capabilities required to meet current and future organisational needs;
  • Leading on promoting equality in the University’s culture, policies and practices, and supporting the implementation of equality frameworks and objectives

What you will bring to the role :

  • A CIPD membership plus significant post qualification experience such as MCIPD or Masters-level qualification in Human Resources Management or Organisational Development 
  • Experience at a senior level delivering the OD function to high professional standards within a complex, professional based organisation 
  • A track record around developing organisational development strategies and programmes that are context specific – matching OD practice to business needs 
  • Experience of major culture change initiatives 
  • Experience in workforce planning, talent development, succession planning and staff resourcing
