The Role
Durham University’s Retail and Hospitality team seeks to appoint an experienced Assistant Retail Operations Manager to support the Retail Operations Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day performance at our Maiden Castle Café & Club Room and our Café at the Botanic Gardens.
With excellent team management skills and a passion for delivering food and beverage service excellence, the post-holder will have commercial experience, preferably within a branded high-street chain, hotel or university.
Experience planning, managing and delivering events is crucial and a key part of this role along with knowledge of managing the sale of alcohol in a bar setting and off the premises.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good business acumen with a proven record of accomplishment in driving turnover and exceeding customer expectations.
