The University of Nottingham is recruiting a Continuing Education Officer to join our School of Health Sciences, one of four Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The School provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, sport rehabilitation, and allied health professionals. We aim to educate and nurture the best and brightest students to go on to transform the lives of individuals and communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
As Continuing Education Officer, you will work with a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative, and play a pivotal role in developing processes to support the delivery of our post-registration learning. You will develop knowledge and expertise of the School of Health Sciences’ portfolio of continuing education, apprenticeship, postgraduate taught (PGT), and continuing professional development (CPD) programmes. You will maintain and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Teams pages, prepare data for reporting, support the delivery of training and clinical skills sessions, as well as lead on the organisation of online meetings and events. You will also support the costing of development of new business, new educational contracts, and the submission of non-research bids. You will work collaboratively with an established team.
The role also encompasses managing the day-to-day running of apprenticeship programmes, and you will work closely with students and apprentices at application stage and whilst on programme. As such, you will need excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, together with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
This is a permanent position available immediately. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
