The University is seeking to appoint a Senior Quality Officer. This key role based within the Academic Quality Unit will be responsible for providing specialist professional advice to internal and external stakeholders and will be expected to take a team based approach to the workload of Academic Quality Unit and operate effectively and flexibly to support the delivery of the overall Academic Quality service. This is a fixed term contract for 24 months due to the need for specialist expertise.
The role will work collaboratively to build relationships with the academic community and with professional service teams within the wider University to ensure the effective operation of academic quality, standards and enhancement activities and the integration where appropriate, of requirements around data quality and assurance. The role will have a significant focus on curriculum development and approval as part of the University's Curriculum Transformation plans.
With the ability to prioritise your own deadlines and for others, the post holder will be expected to work effectively under pressures across a range of projects to ensure that deadlines are met. Self-motivated and resilient with a positive and proactive approach, the post holder will demonstrate the ability to adjust to unfamiliar situations, demands and unchanging roles.
The successful applicant will have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent relevant professional experience, and significant experience as a senior administrator in a higher education environment.
Applicants will need to take a flexible approach to working hours and may be required to work evenings and weekends occasionally and to undertake activities off campus both in the UK and overseas.
