Fork Lift Truck Technician - Forklift and Powered Access

What skills are we looking for:

• Self-starter
• Strong understanding of engineering principles
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to interact positively with staff and apprentices

Responsibilities for the role:

1. To set up work areas for use, as directed;

2. To maintain working and general areas, including cleaning as required;

3. To support teaching staff through practical assistance;

4 To maintain and operate a materials/equipment store, including inventory maintenance etc ;

5. To work with Health & Safety to ensure safe disposal of non-essential equipment and stock;

6. To complete Health & Safety, Risk Assessments as required for rooms;

7. To represent the division on the college’s Health & Safety Committee

8. To undertake any other duties within the spirit of the job description and commensurate with the grading of the post
