Campaigns and Alumni Relations (CAR) is responsible for fundraising and graduate engagement at the University of Sheffield. We raise philanthropic gifts which benefit the University in a variety of ways - from supporting students in financial need to enabling research that’s bringing about real change. We also build lifelong relationships with our 300,000 alumni through a range of impactful communications and memorable events.
We're now seeking an enthusiastic Events Assistant to join our Events & Communications team. As an integral part of the team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the organisation and execution of a variety of alumni events, from large-scale gatherings to intimate reunions.
In this busy and varied role, you'll support all aspects of event organisation, from researching venues and sending invitations to on-site logistics and post-event follow-up. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in ensuring that each event runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a passion for event planning and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
If you're an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
The role is predominantly office based. However, we are committed to enabling our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over when, where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.
We are also committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and the University. We want to attract the best people with the right transferable skills and welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds.
