Applications are invited to apply for the above role to provide housekeeping support and assistance to technical staff, academic staff, researchers, and undergraduates within the School of Life Sciences to enable and ensure the safe and effective operation of research, teaching and laboratory activities.
We are seeking candidates with good communication skills and those able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work to achieve set deadlines and high standards, whilst working effectively under pressure. The role holder will have a good standard of education, evidenced by GCSEs or equivalent qualifications demonstrating numeracy and literacy, or equivalent experience working in same/similar role. This role requires a candidate who has skills in maintaining accurate records and attention to detail. Previous experience in a laboratory environment would be desirable but not essential.
Please note that candidates must be able to lift and move objects as this role will involve transporting glassware, waste, and consumables regularly throughout the day, alongside moving kit and equipment throughout the week.
It is essential for this role, that the candidate holds a full manual UK driving licence.
The post is a permanent, full time contract (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
