Our University
Ravensbourne University London is an innovative, industry-focused university located at the heart of London’s newest creative community on the Greenwich Peninsula. We're champions of creativity and collaboration, dedicated to giving our learners the specialist skills and opportunities they need for outstanding careers in digital media, design, business and computing.
The Role
The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for APP is responsible for leading the monitoring and evaluation of the activity and targets of our Access and Participation Plan; which aims to support learners from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to access, succeed in and progress from higher education. You will analyse the outcomes of our intervention strategies enabling the University to measure, evaluate and demonstrate the impact of our intervention strategies which have been designed to close performance gaps across the student lifecycle.
This is a new role and will offer the opportunity to shape and develop evaluative practice at the University. The role will involve working with a wide range of colleagues across key departments and with external sector networks such as NERUPI and SEER (Specialist Evidence, Evaluation and Research Collaborative HE by Applied Inspiration) to develop good practice and build an evidence base of ‘what works’ relating to this regulatory area.
The Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of evaluation and research methods and methodologies, including using Theory of Change models and evaluation plans and processes. We’re looking for a candidate with experience of managing and analysing complex data sets, including qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and of evaluation design and producing reports formulating recommendations based on analysis.
We continually strive to create a culture of inclusivity so that we truly represent our diverse communities. We particularly welcome applications from people of colour who are underrepresented within Higher Education. We are committed to promoting the safety and welfare of our students; therefore all appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks including Enhanced DBS.
We welcome applications from suitably qualified people from all sections of the community in our desire to reflect the diversity of the community we serve.
We particularly welcome applications from ethnic minority candidates as they are under-represented at this level in this area
Further details:
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities, and in particular those that are currently under-represented in our workforce. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates, candidates with disabilities, and female candidates.
