Do you have a successful track-record supporting staff in the development of Digital Education? Would you like to play a leading role in the implementation of our Education Strategy including HyFlex and Immersive Learning? Would you like to join a dynamic, ideas driven team where your voice will be valued and your potential developed?
Join Birkbeck, University of London, as a Senior Digital Education Consultant (Projects) and you will play a key role in helping shape the future of our teaching and learning.
The Digital Education Team sits within a new Information Services Department and is playing a pivotal role in transforming the student experience at Birkbeck. The team is divided into Faculty-facing, Applications and Project dimensions and your work will involve leading and working on innovative cross-cutting projects initiated within the team, or as part of wider institutional projects.
As Senior Digital Education Consultant , you will also work on other initiatives and services (e.g. our Video Recording/Podcasting Suite or Moodle Plugin design) and represent Digital Education perspectives on other projects (e.g. Student Engagement).
You will often co-ordinate deliverables with colleagues and will need to have experience of requirements gathering/needs analysis to ensure projects are delivered within scope and on time.
This opportunity would build on your experience as a Digital Learning Consultant or Learning Technologist, and would be of particular interest to those who have worked in specialisms like AI in teaching and assessment, student experience-related projects and applications development, review and evaluation.
You will be joining a University that is transforming its teaching model to better align with the needs of our students balancing work and other commitments and helping to make learning more accessible. On the Digital Education side this includes the roll-out of Hyflex technology in all classrooms with its associated pedagogy and with the upcoming launch of our new Immersive Learning Centre, the development of new approaches to teaching, learning, research and assessment.
If this sounds like the role for you then we’d love to receive your application today!
