The Philosophy Department in the School of PPE is seeking to appoint a part-time lecturer (0.5 FTE) for two academic years, starting in September 2025, whose role will be to contribute to the teaching programme in the Department of Philosophy.

Among the duties laid out in the job description, you will:

  • Deliver the Department’s teaching in Philosophy at undergraduate level in several core areas, focusing on: Ethics, Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind, History of Philosophy.
  • Convene three 20 credit modules per year: two modules in the introductory first year of the undergraduate programme, and one in the second year.
  • Participate in UG dissertation marking.
