Research at the University of Reading aims to solve some of the biggest problems facing people today, based on four themes: agriculture, food and health; environment; heritage and creativity; and prosperity and resilience. Working across continents and disciplines, our researchers explore ways to tackle climate change, improve human health, provide food security and understand human culture.
Working primarily with the Prosperity and Resilience theme, you will be contributing to the development of high quality research grant applications and the generation of research income at the University of Reading.
The Assistant Research Development Manager will join the Research Development Manager supporting the Prosperity and Resilience Theme. They will sit in the wider Heritage & Creativity, Prosperity & Resilience and International Funding team, led by a Senior Research Development Manager, within the Research Development team.

The role holder will join a wider team of Assistant and Research Development Managers supporting the researchers at the University to jointly develop and submit high quality research grant applications, on the University's beautiful green Whiteknights campus which has won 14 consecutive Green Flag awards. The University provides a generous annual leave package of 26 days plus an additional 8 closure days which include bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time posts), and operates a flexible working policy.
