The Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint an Undergraduate Teaching Administrator. The role is responsible for administration of undergraduate teaching and learning, for Parts IA to II of the Mathematical Tripos and for supporting specific administrative functions for Part III Mathematics and Mathematics in the Natural Sciences Tripos. The role holder is part of the Undergraduate Office Team but is expected to work in collaboration with members of the Postgraduate Office Team if needed. They will maintain key documentation and timetables, oversee the collation of student feedback and other data, organise payments to staff delivering teaching, support the implementation of recommendations for students requiring reasonable adjustments, and will manage Moodle/Panopto. They will act as a first point of contact for queries, including those relating to admissions, and support Faculty Open Days.

The role holder will also support the Undergraduate Office Manager and Examinations Coordinator in the delivery of examinations.

The successful applicant should be educated to HND/HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualifications or have an equivalent level of practical experience. Previous experience of administrative work in a Higher Education environment is essential, as is knowledge of course coordination.

The post holder will be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and SharePoint. They will also be a competent user of databases, for inputting, retrieving and summarising information, and will have familiarity with web editing, or be willing to learn. They will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, specialist scientific applications, such as TeX and LaTeX, and the University's computing systems (in particular, the University's student records system, CamSIS, and Moodle).

Excellent organisational and communication skills and attention to detail are a must, together with a confident approach, tact in dealing with people at all levels, and the ability and willingness to work on your own initiative and within a team. Experience of supervising others is desirable.
