We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in innate immune responses to cancer, in vivo/in vitro experimental models, and advanced molecular techniques to join the group at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead innovative projects at the intersection of epigenetics and tumour immunology. By leveraging advanced functional genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics approaches, you will develop novel therapeutic strategies for cancer immunotherapy.
You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities. You will design and conduct experiments to investigate the role of epigenetic factors in innate immune response regulation. Your work will involve disease modelling, including murine in vivo models, as well as in vitro studies using primary in-vivo and patient samples. You will apply flow cytometry to monitor immune responses and utilize next-generation sequencing technologies for deep molecular insights. Additionally, you will present your findings at national and international conferences, mentor junior researchers in the lab, and contribute to high-impact publications in top-tier scientific journals.
It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in tumour immunology or a related life science field together with background in cancer research. You will also have experience in vivo/in vitro experimental models, functional genomics (CRISPR, shRNA), molecular biology. You will possess a strong skills in decision-making, problem-solving, planning and organising analysis and research. Experience with PDX models and primary leukemic cells is highly desirable.
