The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Executive Project Manager to join our Planning and Strategic Projects team. This is an exciting time to join the team and wider Planning & Strategic Projects Directorate as we are supporting a portfolio of new strategic projects for the University.
This role is ideal for someone who is a superb planner and organiser, who uses formal project management techniques to manage the concept, definition and delivery stages of projects, coordinate the work of project teams and ensure that work is delivered to agreed standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of strategic academic and business projects, supporting their successful completion on time and on budget and with fully realised benefits. You will be part of the Planning and Strategic Projects Directorate and a member of the Strategic Projects team, working with a wide range of colleagues across the University.
Key responsibilities will include managing a range of strategic academic and business projects, taking responsibility for successful completion on time and on budget and with full realisation of benefits; work closely with the Project Sponsor, project team and key stakeholders; actively participate in all phases of a project, including scoping and design, identifying and securing resources, resolving issues, managing risk and reporting progress; line management of Project Officers, including leading on the further development of these team members.
The successful candidate will have proven project manager experience, ideally qualified in a project management framework/methodology. The successful candidate will have a track record in successfully managing and delivering projects, ideally having worked in a public sector/higher education environment, accountable to various stakeholders/internal oversight boards.
