The Campus Kitchen is the University of Southampton’s in house catering service. We facilitate a multitude of services across the University to include the provision of food in catered halls, retail catering outlets across all campuses and a delivered catering service for all hospitality requirements. Our aim is to deliver a five-star food service, catering for a wide range of needs and requirements and enhancing the experience for staff, students and visitors on campus.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our friendly team at the University of Southampton. This could also be an exciting position for a Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie who has a flair and passion for working with the finest ingredients.
The successful candidate must have experience working in a fine dining setting, either in a hotel, restaurant or event catering. You will be based on Highfield Campus but will be required to work on all areas of our business.
The working hours are on a full-time basis. There will need to be flexibility on hours as occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Additional working benefits include time off over the Easter and Christmas period due to University Closure days, bank holidays and a 36 hour working week.
