The University of London is the UK’s largest provider of international distance and online learning and the convenor of a federation of 17 London-based universities, many of which are among the highest-ranking universities in the world.
Collectively the federation represents a cohort of some 250,000 learners and 50,000 academic and professional services staff. Within this cohort are around 40,000 University of London students who study programmes which are developed and delivered in partnership with our 17 federation members.
The Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement team
The University is now planning a new campaign focused on the transformation of our iconic Senate House Library. Based in Senate House, it is one of the UK’s largest libraries for arts, humanities, and social sciences—home to 2 million books, 50 special collections, and 1800 archival collections—and it serves students from across the federation.
Since the inception of the Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement team in 2015, we have built our engagement activities and systems and now have an established community of more than 200,000 contactable alumni, donors and prospects – the majority of whom are outside of the UK.
It is a great time to join our team and be part of a successful campaign while enhancing your career with a globally recognised institution.
The role
We now seek an exceptional Philanthropy Systems and Data Manager to play a vital role in delivering our transformational fundraising efforts, most notably, our bold and exciting Library Transformation Project. This is more than a back-office data role. It’s a chance to lead from the front, to make sure the systems, processes and data that underpin our success are not only operationally sound but exemplary. You’ll be a key part of our Philanthropy Operations team, ensuring donations are accurately processed, data is pristine, and insight flows freely across our organisation. Crucially, your work will empower colleagues, engage donors and underpin strategic decisions across our university-wide campaigns.
