The role
The University of Surrey Campus Services Catering owns and manages its own inhouse campus catering outlets and conference services.
The catering facilities include several restaurants, coffee shops and bar services, serving a range of menu choices, and beverage offerings, including all internal and external event Catering. We currently have a Catering and Events Supervisor, to support our internal and external event catering, which requires the role to work campus wide. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who would like to progress to take their catering caterer further.
Responsibilities
The Catering and Events Supervisor will support with allocating correct staffing for events, ensuring staff are in the right place at the right time, as well as leading, motivating and training the team in line with our standards. The Event Host will be responsible for ensuring the product standards are delivered in a timely, efficient manner, and to the correct quality and specification. They will be responsible for the food safety throughout the event.
Skills
About you
This is a 7 day a week operation, with some evening work. We are looking for someone who has a passion for excellent service, and enjoys working in a busy and vibrant environment. Some prior experience in a supervisory role and within and catering setting would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
