The role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow to drive the development and design of a healthy behaviours programme for children and young people (C&YP) who have completed cancer treatment. Our focus is on the supportive role of physical activity, dietary and healthy behaviours to enhance C&YP’s wellbeing. This project has been funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Could you harness your co-design skills, innovative thinking and collaborative approach to help the team at the Advanced Wellbeing Centre (AWRC) create a pioneering programme? This is an exciting opportunity to shape future service provision in an emerging area of health research, supported by a passionate team of clinicians, academics, and community stakeholders.
In the first six months, you will be engaged in leading the team in the process of evidence scoping and reviewing, you will be co-ordinating a team of co-design and communication professionals to plan inspiring activities for C&YP and carers so they can express their lived experiences, preferences for multi-modal support and co-create a programme to meet their needs.
You will be engaging with healthcare professionals and community-based stakeholders to hear a range of perspectives on how best to support C&YP. You will be continually drawing on your research experience and skills to lead the team and ensure the project activities are planned and executed to robust academic standards.
