Opportunity Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Lecturer in Geography contribute to the leadership and development of Geography and Environmental Management, providing effective academic and professional leadership in postgraduate and undergraduate programme and module delivery.
As a Senior Lecturer, you would be expected to plan, design, and deliver a range of high-quality teaching and learning activities across Geography and Environmental Management programmes that align with fields of geography such as climate change, biogeography, coastal geography, geomorphology, river science, geo-hazards. You will also engage with curriculum enhancement, student support, and teaching excellence, fostering innovation and academic integrity in all aspects of programme delivery.

The Geography and Environmental Management (GEM) team delivers a range of well-respected programmes at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels. Our programmes carry accreditation from various professional bodies, including the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). Current undergraduate teaching is centred around Environmental Management and Geography. Postgraduate teaching includes programmes in Environmental Assessment and Management, Sustainability, Health and Global Environments and Safety, Health and Environment.
