About the Role

We are recruiting an enthusiastic Senior Research Facilitator to join our team working on this exciting new multi-site project. The Research Facilitator will become a key member of the Black Health Legacy team, contributing to its successful delivery and being responsible for recruiting participants across various settings. You will oversee a team of research facilitators and ensure the study is delivered to a high standard and focused on quality assurance. You will be responsible for the day-to-day governance of the study, ensuring that it is conducted in compliance with the protocol, overall study objectives, International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), Good Clinical Practice, study protocol and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

About You

A motivated and passionate individual who is committed to improving the health of Black African and Black Caribbean people through research. You will hold a first degree (or equivalent) and have research experience, including participant recruitment, site- set up and supervision and training of junior staff and have training in Good Clinical Practice. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be an effective problem-solver. A desire to effectively and sensitively involve people from Black African and Black Caribbean communities in research, and overcome their current representation, is important. We would welcome applications from ambitious individuals who are keen to advance their career in NHS and/or community-based research.

About the Project

Black Health Legacy is a long-term research study that aims to improve the health of Black African and Black Caribbean people. The study is funded by the Wellcome Trust and will prioritise research on medical problems that affect people from these communities, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease.
