About Role
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the role of Event Manager falls under the QMVenues team and plays a key role in the event delivery of both internal and external events on our campuses. As part of the Operations team, you will plan and coordinate final details of the event and operational delivery of events. The post holder will be a key liaison between clients and the QM Venues team by building strong relationships with both clients and internal service department and stakeholders.
The purpose of the role is to act as a link between QM Venues and the end client, acting as the events expert for all aspect of event management such as room lay-outs, catering, audio visual requirements, risk assessments, staffing and additional services required for the smooth running of events. The post holder will also support, and line manage an Events Coordinator.
About You
Ideally you will be degree qualified, with relevant event management experience from either an HE or venue background. You should be customer focused, have experience in communication with clients and stakeholders at all levels, be an excellent team player, who is able to plan effectively and always putting the client’s vision first. Experience in both planning and event delivery is essential.
This role is an operational role and requires flexibility regarding hours to cover events.
