About us
Join a vibrant world-leading Software Systems research group at the Department of Informatics, King’s College London. We are an international, diverse, and inclusive group of about 40 researchers working on all aspects of software engineering with a particular strength in AI for software engineering, as well as software testing and quality assurance.
About the role
Sustainability is a prominent concern in economic development and has found a prominent position in software engineering research. GreenCode is a first of a kind software decarbonisation pipeline that aims to reduce the climate impact of computing at scale. We achieve this through a novel blend of state of the art generative AI, sustainability best practice, stress testing and software quality assurance focussed on the root cause of all IT emissions, software performance.
This post will particularly concern devising quality assurance mechanisms that assess efficiency of software and its carbon footprint, particularly in cooperation with our partners in the automotive domain. We plan to develop novel simulation and testing frameworks that can assess functionality and efficiency of system-level automotive functions.
The research will be carried out in an exciting international project involving many partners within an interdisciplinary team. More information about the GreeenCode project can be found on its web page: https://itea4.org/project/greencode.html . The researcher will join the vibrant and world-leading Software Systems (SSY) group at King’s College London.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/01/2027.
