Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Full Professor of Clinical Pathology and Consultant Histopathologist within UCD School of Medicine and St Vincent’s University Hospital.
The University and Hospital are seeking to expand academic leadership in Pathology by attracting an outstanding clinician scientist with an internationally competitive research profile. Both parties are committed to building collaborative programmes involving the community of academic staff and clinician scientists to establish an internationally recognised centre of excellence in translational pathology that enhances the quality of patient care.
The Professor of Clinical Pathology will be principally based at St Vincent’s University Hospital, where they will be an academic leader working with other academic and clinical staff to oversee the design, delivery, assessment and quality of modules and programmes for undergraduate and graduate students. They will be an experience clinical leader who will contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art clinical pathology service at the hospital.
Successful candidate will be appointed on the appropriate Salary scale at the first point in scale or in line with current Government pay policy and commensurate with experience.
