About the Role
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant (Technician) position within the William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD), Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). This post is available as part-time (more than 21 hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week). The available position is within the Centre for Microvascular Research, an internationally respected group of 40 researchers. The appointed person will be working in the Translational Cardiovascular Therapeutics group (Ken Suzuki laboratory). The principal responsibility of the post is the technical support of the staff who are engaged in cutting-edge translational research to develop a novel stem cell therapy for heart failure funded by the British Heart Foundation Programme Grant.
About You
Applicants must be enthusiastic researchers with significant knowledge and experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery, cardiovascular research and/or stem cell therapy. Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree in relevant subject or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience. Experience and understanding of basic laboratory techniques, including stem cell culture, is required. Details are found in the Job Pack.

The salary will be in the range of £32,804 - £34,385 per annum (pro-rata if part time), inclusive of London Allowance.
