The University of Cambridge is seeking two full-time Operations Assistants to support the work of the Accessibility & Disability Resource Centre.
__About the Team__
The Accessibility & Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) is part of the Student Support Department within Education Services. The ADRC provides advice, information and support to prospective disabled applicants, undergraduates, graduates and to the staff who support them. It also provides support and advice to Colleges and Departments/Faculties on the Equality Act (2010) in relation to disability equality matters.
__About the Role__
The Operations Assistants will provide operational, financial and administrative support, including front of house tasks, event administration, record management and dealing with student and staff enquiries.
The post holder will be based in the ADRC, on the Ground Floor of the Student Services Centre and will be required to work a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
The successful candidates will also administer bursaries, invoices, and purchasing of equipment for disabled students and provide general support of the Centre's day-to-day operations. The post-holders will report to the ADRC Operations and Project Manager.
__Your Skills__
Applicants should have good interpersonal and communication skills, a good standard of written and spoken English and should demonstrate attention to detail.
Experience of using the University Finance System is desirable. Previous experience of working with disabled people would be advantageous.
Interested applicants for this post should be educated to GCE A level standard or equivalent standard/NVQ level 3, or have an equivalent level of practical experience and have previous secretarial/clerical experience following office procedures, ideally within a Higher Education environment.
Successful candidates will be competent in word processing and able to use standard software packages (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
