The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning and research in the world. Founded in 1895, LSE counts 18 Nobel prize winners among its alumni and staff. In July 2023, we announced the appointment of incoming President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Larry Kramer, a visionary leader and scholar who will lead on the School’s ambitious strategic priorities, taking us to new heights.
In November 2021, we launched the public phase of Shaping the World, our major £350 million philanthropy and engagement Campaign to underpin LSE’s strategic goals. Nearly 85% of our Campaign goal has been raised so far and as momentum builds, we look to what the future of the Campaign might look like.
Ben Plummer-Powell, the Chief Philanthropy and Global Engagement Officer, is one of the most prominent and experienced leaders in higher-education fundraising and a member of LSE’s School Management Committee. The successful candidate will work closely with him and his Senior Executive Officer to ensure priorities are managed and time is used strategically. Ben operates to a busy schedule, involving a substantial amount of travel, and the Senior Executive Assistant plays a key role in helping him to conduct business in a timely and efficient manner by providing high level administrative support. Ben’s network of prominent global contacts as well as his ambition and strategic vision for PAGE’s future means that this post-holder would gain insights into the fundraising strategy.
