Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a current NHS clinical colleague to join our diagnostic radiography team in the Directorate of Allied and Public Health at the University of Salford. This role will focus on developing and enhancing clinical education in practice. The one-year project will enable the upskilling, development and sustainability of clinical education in Greater Manchester.
The post holder will utilise their clinical expertise, experience in clinical education including innovative supervision models and/or enhancing and developing clinical education in practice to support the development of clinical education in the diagnostic radiography workforce. They will have experience of supporting learning and workforce development in the practice / clinical environment. The post holder will have the ability to develop and utilise professional networks to drive clinical education within diagnostic radiography including developing communities of practice.
This offers an exciting opportunity for a one-year development post as a fixed-term or secondment opportunity. We are looking to second an experienced clinician for two to three days a week from a clinical role. This role would suit NHS clinicians currently on NHS Grade 6 or 7 or equivalent.
If you wish to consider a secondment from your organisation this means you would stay on your substantive employment in your organisation and the university would pay your salary and costs for the duration of the project. If you would like to consider this arrangement, please discuss this with your line manager and HR department at the earliest opportunity to ensure this will be supported.
