We are seeking a proactive and experienced Administrative Assistant to support several research groups within the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME), with a primary focus on the CHI Lab and the Tissue Engineering Group. This permanent position is based at the Old Road Campus in Headington and involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to Professor Cui, as well as PA support to another senior academic when required. While this is a full-time role, we are open to considering part-time arrangements for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
About The Role
You will act as the first point of contact for Professor Cui, members of the research group, and all students, staff and visitors to the group, including international visitors. You will also liaise with HR to ensure all required visit approvals are obtained and arrange programs or meetings as needed. Under the guidance of the IBME Office Manager, you will assist with Institute-wide administrative and support tasks, working closely with PAs, other Research Group Administrators, and the Institute's administrative staff.
About You
You should have experience managing administrative process, including arranging complex travel, meetings and seminars. The ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines is essential, along with a strong attention to detail. You should also possess strong computer skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience of using financial information systems is also advantageous.
