This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months

LSE’s Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) serves, engages and cultivates a reciprocal relationship with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, donors, global partners, organisations and the wider community to increase engagement, philanthropic income and strategic partnerships for agreed School priorities.

The PAGE Communications Team comprises a Head of Communications, Philanthropy writer, Philanthropy proposals writer, Communications Manager, Communications Executive and Online Engagement Officer.

The PAGE Online Engagement Officer manages the LSE alumni social media channels, including the recently launched Instagram profile, and supports the wider team with developing and updating website content that engages alumni and supporters, strengthens relationships and deepens our understanding of their needs, preferences and interests.

The postholder will create engaging and channel-specific social media posts (including developing video content) and regularly report and advise on social media activity. Working with the Communications Manager, they will also contribute to the development of our social media strategy and website content for our Shaping the World campaign.

Candidates should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a social media role where you have created social media content, managed social content planning and devised social strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of all social media platforms and what’s trending – particularly Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Able to extrapolate data and deliver monthly/quarterly performance reports that are relevant and informative both for the team and for senior leadership.
  • Excellent writing skills ensuring that all external messaging aligns with LSE and PAGE’s brand and tone of voice.
