The opportunity:
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Architectural History (fixed-term until 31 October 2026, 0.7 FTE, UoE Grade 8) at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA), part of the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) at the University of Edinburgh. This role will be responsible for delivering inspirational teaching across ESALA’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, in particular the undergraduate MA (Hons) degree in Architectural History and Heritage, and undertaking impactful research. We are looking for someone with expertise in Architectural History, History of Art or History who can contribute research-led teaching with a particular focus on architecture and urbanism in the Early Modern period (1400-1800) in any global context.
This post is 0.7FTE (24.5 hours per week)
The salary for this post is £49,559 to £60,907 per annum, pro rata as 0.7 FTE.
