The Research Department of Neurodegenerative Disease is recognised as one of the foremost international centres for the study of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Based in the department is the UCL Dementia Research Centre (DRC), a hub for clinical research into various forms of dementia. Our work focuses on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, and how best to support people with dementia and their families.
We are seeking a Research Assistant to help coordinate digital and PET sub-studies within the Genetic FTD Initiative (GENFI) team. You will also assist with the management, storage, and analysis of data collected for these studies.
An honorary contract will be sought from UCLH NHS Foundation Trust, for which a DBS check will be required.
The role is available from 01 August 2025 and funded by grants from the Bluefield Project and the National Brain Appeal for one year in the first instance.
This role is eligible for hybrid working. You are expected to spend around 60% of your working hours on campus, depending on research requirements, and work remotely the rest of the time.

You will hold an Honours degree (minimum 2:1) in Neuroscience or a related subject. Essential experience includes database management, working with digital and PET biomarkers (including patient testing), and working with individuals with frontotemporal dementia.
Starting salary offered in the range £38,607 - £41,255 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
