Are you available for a fixed term contract to provide assistance and coordinate in the management of a large-scale research project for the School of Psychology? If yes, then please read on for more details. 

The School of Psychology is looking for a Project Officer who will be responsible for overseeing the logistical aspects of a project, with including tasks such as fielding participant enquiries, liaising with stakeholders, liaising with the advisory board & external speakers, assisting with conference organisation, overseeing the budget, helping to prepare the grant reports, managing the project webpage, and managing the project’s social media accounts.

 As a Project Officer you can expect to be involved in:

  • Providing proactive, timely administrative support & coordination for all aspects of project activity to ensure the efficient running of the project and support with the delivery against key milestones and within available resource. This will include producing and managing project and delivery plans, tracking activities, reporting progress and following up on action points arising from meetings, as appropriate.
  • Developing and managing a project plan to track progress of the development of the online data collection platform. This will include sourcing web developers & graphic designers, and coordinating with the development team to ensure the platform is built as per the project requirements, in budget and on time.
  • Supporting the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project through devising & developing evaluation and tracking tools, analysing data, and keeping accurate records to enable stakeholders and the project lead to assess the impact of the project & engagement activities (e.g., surveys, data collection).

What will you bring to the role?

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
  • Experience of setting up administrative systems and procedures for a new project
  • Good project management skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects and workload whilst taking account of conflicting demands & deadlines
