About us
The UCL Strategic Plan 2022-2027 outlines a vision for a ‘futures focussed’ UCL education that is ambitious and distinctive. One of the aims is to bring together teaching, assessment and employability in order to support student futures and to that end, the new ‘UCL Higher Education Development & Support Institute’ (HEDS) has been established. HEDS brings together UCL Arena (UCL’s Centre for Research-based Education) and UCL Careers Service.
About the role
One of the most ambitious and impactful projects in the Strategic Plan is the Programme Excellence Project (PEP) which aims to transform our approach to the UCL portfolio of programmes and create space for exciting new opportunities in the curriculum. Launched in 2023, the project is due to run until 2027.
As Project Manager – Excellence in Education, you'll join as PEP enters its third phase, and have a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting its delivery. The key focus initially will be to support Faculties to engage with PEP, helping them to develop and implement effective project plans and encouraging them to get the most out of new opportunities.
Working in a small team, you'll work closely with the Programme Excellence Project Lead in delivering each phase of our ambitious PEP plans to agreed timelines. You'll have opportunity to work closely with core teams across UCL, including Student & Registry Services, Education Services, Faculty Education Teams, and more besides. There may also be opportunities to work on related projects, where they intersect with the PEP work, such as the design of new curriculum feature.
