The MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine is looking to recruit a Digital Communications Officer in a full-time position.

Working closely with the Institute’s Communications and Public Engagement Officer, you will help develop the Institute’s online profile, engaging with a variety of audiences to showcase and disseminate the work of the Institute.

Your duties will include working with research groups and facilities at the Institute to identify where digital content can add value. This will involve managing small-scale projects from inception to delivery. You will support researchers and staff at the MRC WIMM to develop digital content and provide resource for in-house video and audio production, liaising with external contractors where necessary.

You will hold a recognised qualification or have substantial experience in videography and post-production. Proven experience and knowledge of audio and video editing software together with a willingness to learn specific software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite will be essential.  You will also have accurate and concise writing skills for script writing and social media, including the ability to communicate and influence audiences from diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

This position is available fixed-term until 31 March 2027, funded by the Medical Research Council and the Medical Sciences Division.
