About the Role
This post sits within the Joint Research Management Office Pre-Award team working closely with the Doctoral College (DC), Central Finance and the R&I Executive Office teams. The post holder will be primarily located in the JRMO office at Dept W, along with the Doctoral college at Mile End. This role will be crucial in providing support to our Academic, Clinical and Professional Service colleagues providing expertise and specialist advice in all financial matters for internal funding streams, non-research projects and Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP's).
About You
The post holder will be expected to guide and support other colleagues within the JRMO, DC, R&I executive office along with consulting with Central Finance. They will provide complete financial oversight for various funding streams, including Impact Acceleration Awards, DTP's and provide support with Flexible Research Funding and Higher Education Innovation Funding administration. You will be using both Agresso and Worktribe systems, Costing Internal funding streams, and processing for approval. Able to cost both research and non-research projects, adhere to funder and scheme terms and conditions. Whilst also providing advice on terms and conditions, allowable cost, financial planning and QMUL financial regulations. They will also be involved in project and budget setup.

The JRMO manages research and supports researchers across the medical and non-medical sectors of Queen Mary University of London and Barts Health NHS Trust. This includes service provision for costing, pricing, and contracting, financial and regulatory compliance.
