Geography and Environment
Full-time and fixed-term from 1 September 2025 until 31 July 2026 or the earlier return of the substantive post holder.
Applications are invited from outstanding candidates to deliver teaching on the Loughborough Geography and Environment suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with a particular interest and expertise in physical geography.
Loughborough is recognised nationally and internationally for its excellence in teaching, research and enterprise. The School has an investment strategy to develop cross-disciplinary studies based around its core strengths and is in a strong financial and student recruitment position.
The candidate must have experience of teaching and will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate (BA, BSc) and postgraduate (MA, MSc) modules, including ‘Global Environmental Change at Local Scale’, ‘Environmental Hazards’, ‘Environmental Systems and Resource Management’. Support of other areas of the curriculum in physical geography will be required, and a willingness to engage in fieldwork and residential field courses is expected.
Candidates are expected to have a PhD in physical geography or a closely related discipline and the clear potential to contribute to the University Strategy of ‘Creating Better Futures. Together’ in a high-performing HE environment.
