The University of Salford’s progressive approach has powered our success for 125 years. Our University is primed for growth and today our community encompasses over 26,000 students and 2,800 staff from all around the world. We are bolstered by industry initiatives and innovative research programmes, building a thriving university at the heart of a powerful and connected region.
This is reflected in our bold vision for our Estate. We are creating a transformative and dynamic environment that will seamlessly integrate academic excellence, innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity. Our Campus Connectivity Plan aspires to create a vibrant and inspiring hub for learning, research, and community engagement, fostering a holistic educational experience for all. Sustainability lies at the heart of this vision and of course it extends beyond physical infrastructure, emphasising the integration of technology to create a digitally connected campus. In turn the University is one of the three Partners in the Crescent Salford Masterplan, a £2.5bn investment in the city.
Reporting to the Chief Infrastructure Officer, your brief will be to deliver the Campus Connectivity Plan, which can also be characterised as a 10 year £600m capital programme. You will lead and develop a combined team of in-house project managers and external consultants formulating, implementing and managing the University’s extensive redevelopment strategy.
You will have a proven track record of delivering significant capital projects and development on time and to budget. Key to your success will be excellent interpersonal skills, a commercial approach and the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a diverse variety of internal and external stakeholders.
The application process is managed by Dixon Walter, therefore all applications must be submitted to Dixon Walter for further information and details of how to apply.
The closing date for application is Monday 23rd June 2025.
Final interviews will be held in early August 2025.
We are committed to an inclusive approach to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. We aim to have a more diverse workforce at all levels of the institution and particularly welcome applications from people from minority ethnic backgrounds and people with disabilities, who are under-represented in our workforce.
