The role

The successful applicant will contribute fully to the life of the School and Faculty through teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate (MA/LLM) programmes
What will you be doing?
The School is seeking to recruit a Teaching Associate to support teaching in its LLB, LLM and MA in Law programmes. This is a teaching-focused post which does not include an obligation to engage in academic research. The post is on Career Pathway 3 of the University of Bristol’s academic pathways. The role is to provide seminar teaching in two or more subjects on the School’s LLB, LLM and/or MA in Law programmes, including at least one of the foundational areas of contract, tort, criminal, public, EU, land and trusts, as well as related administration. In addition to foundational subjects, we particularly welcome applications from those able to teach Commercial, Banking and Financial Services Law.
You should apply if
You should have a good honours degree or equivalent in law (for example, Graduate Diploma in Law); a postgraduate degree in law or a law-related subject (or to be working towards one); or equivalent professional qualification or experience. In addition, we are looking for relevant experience of successful teaching or tutoring at university level or equivalent; demonstrable ability to carry out academic administrative duties effectively; and excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and accessibly.
There is one post available with a contract from 1/9/25 – 31/7/26. The post is full-time; however, the School is open to requests for part-time working.
