About the Role
The Department of Sport Science at Nottingham Trent University invites applications for an experienced Research Fellow to join a multidisciplinary team investigating the role of dietary biotic strategies to support health and wellbeing. This position is part of a funded research project investigating the effects of dietary prebiotics in individuals with asthma, delivered in collaboration with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and industry partners. Further, there will be opportunities to support projects investigating dietary biotics to target the gut barrier and its resident microbes in sport and exercise settings too.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and coordination of human research trials. This will include participant recruitment, data collection (including physiological, biochemical, and self-reported outcomes), sample handling, data analysis, and the dissemination of findings through peer-reviewed publications and stakeholder reports.
