BACKGROUND
The Defence & Security programme at Turing is looking to expand a newly formed team of data scientists working on real-world problems in the radio frequency domain aligned with defending and securing the UK. The in the Defence Artificial Intelligence Research (DARe) centre is working in domains as diverse as: future sensing, space systems, human-machine teaming, synthetic environments, and edge AI. Senior Data Scientists perform investigations based on tasking from D&S partners to derisk new technologies and create proof-of-concept work to inform future research.

Terms and Conditions
This full-time post is offered on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2027. The annual salary is £54,611 to £62,381 plus excellent benefits, including flexible working and family friendly policies, Employee-only benefits guide | The Alan Turing Institute.
All applicants must be willing to undergo, and capable of achieving, SC clearance once in post. A successful candidate will be subject to a Dstl research workers check at offer stage.
The Alan Turing Institute is based at the British Library. We expect staff to come to our office at least 4 days per month; the hiring manager will be able to confirm this during the interview.
